The highest quality semi-sweet wine produced by Georgia. Locally known as the “pearl of sweet wine,” it has won two gold medals and four silver medals at international competitions.
The grapes used are Alexandreuri and Mujureturi vines harvested in the Ambrolauri district of the Racha region in the middle of the Rioni River, which flows through western Georgia.
The color is pale red. It has a berry flavor and a faint oak barrel aroma. When you put it in your mouth, the flavor of raspberries and strawberries spreads as well as the aroma, and the moderate sweetness and sourness melt into it.
The palate is smooth and the soft tannins tighten the sweetness a bit. The aftertaste remains astringent, and you can feel the unique flavor of Georgia’s indigenous varieties.
