Vougeot’s first-class vineyard, Les Cla, is a soil with many pebbles and good drainage, producing elegant and aromatic wines that express the individuality of the land to the extent that it is described as “the taste of terroir”.
The appearance is a deep bright purple. It has aromas of raspberries, red cherries, mulberries, blackcurrants, violets, etc., and has a rich fruit flavor.
Occasionally cocoa and licorice nuances are seen, and when you turn the glass, the fascinating flavors of dead leaves, truffles, and undergrowth in the forest add to the flavor.
It has a well-structured structure and feels comfortable from the first attack. The tannins are delicate and the pure bitterness of grape seeds and stems blends perfectly with the juicy pulp and acidity.
