“Ronces” in the first-class vineyard Ronciere means blackberry or raspberry in French, and as the name suggests, it is a wine with a strong berry nuance.
The place is located in the southern part of Nui at an altitude of about 300 m, and it is a dry calcareous soil with abundant sunlight and good drainage.
Despite its low moisture content due to its dryness, Jean Grivo’s 40-year-old grapes are extremely fresh and condensed, and are characterized by a lively fruit.
When poured into a glass, the aroma of fresh red and black berries spreads and persists. Over time, the complexity increases with the addition of a touch of herbs such as boiled down sweet and sour oranges, smoked meats and mixed spices.
